The NKJV Bible is aggressively marketed when the product falls short of sales goals or the company is trying to break into a new market. They use strategies such as paying Christian music groups to encourage and sell the Bible while they are on tour singing. The most important strategy is the NKJV relaunch. This technique is a promotional that pushes extra advertising through different avenues such as bookstore displays, magazines (Christian retail and consumer magazines), increasing advertising on TV/Radio, and direct mailing. Market Development The NKJV Bible has covered all the markets that were intended by Thomas Nelson. Unless something new occurs in the industry they cannot sell there. The product is at a mature stage of development. They have different market divisions that sell the Bible all over the world. The International Division sells translated versions into other languages. The Trade Division sells the NKJV to bookstores everywhere with an established relationship. The Mass Marketing Division sells the NKJV to businesses, non-profit and profit, and all ministries. The Direct Division sells the NKJV through telemarketing and direct mailing. Product Development Thomas Nelson is always trying to find out new and improved ways to satisfy the customer through product development. The Marketing Division team is constantly studying the market and researching what products they like and how to fulfill consumer needs. During this process the Publishing Division meets with the Sales Division to find out what the consumer needs. After this is done they take a new idea to the board. One of the most recent developments is a new Bible for children that have a night-light so they can read it at night. Another new product is the girls Bible that has a strap like a purse. Thomas Nelson is constantly trying to find new ways to satisfy consumer needs through R&D. Diversification Thomas Nelson has a wide variety of products that help diversify what they sell. They sell many different styles of the NKJV Bible such as the adult version, a child's version, and a Bible for toddlers. They also sell Bibles for certain denominations like the Catholic Bible and the Greek Orthodox Bible. Each Bible can be found in different age groups for better understanding and are all printed in different translations such as the NKJV, NIV, REB, and the NRSV. Thomas Nelson sells many other books for adults and children, which are mostly Christian-related. The company also sells items like T-shirts, videos, CD-ROMs, and other things you might find in a gift shop. Target Markets Every NKJV Bible that Thomas Nelson sells is targeted different demographically but sold together to fulfill the needs of all people with no limits. The Bible is targeted to all ages, incomes, genders, cultures, and races because its key function is to spread the gospel throughout the world. There is a good portion that targets ministries and Christians because of their faith and their use of the Bible constantly, but there is also a good portion that targets people who are unbelievers outside of the church world. The NKJV Bible is sold and offered all over the world. Thomas Nelson being the largest Christian communications company in the world. They are a global market geographically and market their Bibles in all major cities and countries in the world. You can find these Bibles in bookstores and Christian outlets in all major cities and countries in the world. Everyone is part of the target market and it doesn't matter what kind of activities you are involved in and what interests and opinions you have. Thomas Nelson focuses on the Christian and Non- Christian secular divisions. The psychographics of an individual does not exclude them from the target market, but they do have a division that focuses on fulfilling the needs of the church. People who are believers or false believers are a big part of the target market who are interested and are involved in activities that integrate with Bible values, such as church-going and living a daily Christian life. Using Effective Instructional Strategies Instructional strategies include all approaches that a teacher may take to engage students in the learning process actively. These strategies drive a teachers instruction as they work to meet specific learning objectives and ensure that their students are equipped with the tools they need to be successful. Effective instructional strategies meet all learning styles and the developmental needs of all learners. Teachers must be equipped with a well-rounded arsenal of effective instructional strategies to maximize their effectiveness and to increase student learning opportunities. Teachers are best served when they utilize a variety of instructional strategies as opposed to one or two. Variety ensures that students are never bored. It also ensures that students will likely be exposed to strategies that align with their preferred individualized learning style. Students will enjoy being taught with a variety of instructional strategies and are likely to stay engaged longer. Ultimately, a teacher should align the instructional strategies they are using with the students they are serving and the content they are teaching. Not every instructional strategy will be the perfect fit for every situation, so teachers must become adept at evaluating which strategy will be the best fit. Effective Instructional Strategies Popular instructional strategies include cloze reading, cooperative learning, hands-on learning activities, scaffolding, group instruction, self-assessment, thematic instruction, and word walls. New instructional strategies are being developed and implemented in classrooms on an almost daily basis. Two teachers can be using the same instructional strategy completely differently based on their own individual preferences and needs. Teachers should put their own creative spin on these instructional strategies to make them their own. 5 Ways to Boost Student Learning Instructional strategies provide a delivery mechanism for presenting great content. Instructional strategies are the how, and content is the what. In many cases, how you present the content is more important than what you present. Students latch onto content that is packaged in an interesting and engaging way. A lack of a great delivery system will fail to make connections with even the most interesting content.Instructional strategies provide teachers with the flexibility necessary to meet individual learning needs.  The sheer number of instructional strategies at a teachers disposal provides the flexibility to differentiate instruction. What works well for one group of students may not necessarily work well with another. Teachers must adapt to each group and utilize multiple instructional strategies to maximize their effectiveness.Instructional strategies can make teaching and learning fun. The majority of students learn best through active, engaging learning opportunities. Many instructional strategies embrace this and feature components that ensure learning is fun and engaging. Instructional strategies, when used correctly, keep students from becoming bored with how they learn. When a teacher uses the same strategy over and over again, it becomes boring to students. This is a great way to cause students to lose focus and lose interest in learning.  When a teacher varies activities, changes them up, and uses a wide range of instructional strategies students stay engaged. This ultimately helps them learn more.Instructional strategies enhance instruction and boost learning. When teachers are continuously exploring and tweaking their delivery system, a beautiful thing happens. Over time, they become more effective at not only finding great instructional strategies but also with implementing them into their class. Likewise, when students are exposed to a variety of instructional strategies it broadens the scope of how they learn - essentially giving them multiple ways to process and learn new information.

Motivating Students Essay -- Persuasive, Classroom

I believe a classroom should be a sanctuary of learning in which the students know from the beginning what is expected of them and the teacher should discuss what is expected of her as a teacher. There needs to be an understanding amongst all involved with the children education. This understanding can lead to a fun filled adventurous classroom that encourages students to strive for the best. I believe when students and teachers are able to learn from each other, the learning environment can be successful. A successful classroom involves having an effective educator who believes they can make a difference in their students’ lives by believing in themselves as productive teachers. For a teacher to be effective, I believe they need to base their teaching on a foundation that will allow them to set goals for their students, as well as for themselves. My philosophy of education is based on the beliefs of Jean Piaget (1896-1980) cognitive theory of development. Piaget believe that children learn through discovery, manipulating objects, and interacting with other people, places, and things (Morrison, 2007, p. 112).Piaget surmised that children learn through actively interacting with their environments, and learn through actively interacting with their environments (Parkay and Stanford, 2010, p. 290). In my classroom, there are students with diverse learning styles and in order for me to reach these students as individuals; I have to implement lessons that will enable all of them to learn who they are as individuals and as a group. Through this learning they are able to construct their own understanding. I also believe that children should be given every opportunity to discover who they are as individuals and use language to talk or exp... ...and objects. †¢ Preoperational—provide toys and materials for pretend play; provide materials for arts and crafts; provide many concrete learning materials and activities; and provide many developmentally appropriate language opportunities involving speaking, listening, reading, and writing (p.116). During early childhood stages, children learn basically the same skills, but at different times in their life. They learn how to use their gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, language, and social emotional skills at different developmental stages. By providing students a safe, caring environment that supports their learning, they are able to explore their environment, discover new concepts, and interact with their peers. I believe when students are provided an environment to learn and develop understanding, they have the ability to grow into caring, productive adults.

Pascal was an outstanding genius who studied geometry as a child. At the age of sixteen he stated and proved Pascal’s Theorem, a fact relating any six points on any conic section. The Theorem is sometimes called the â€Å"Cat’s Cradle† or the â€Å"Mystic Hexagram.† Pascal followed up this result by showing that each of Apollonius’ famous theorems about conic sections was a corollary of the Mystic Hexagram; along with Gà ©rard Desargues (1591-1661), he was a key pioneer of projective geometry. He also made important early contributions to calculus; indeed it was his writings that inspired Leibniz. Returning to geometry late in life, Pascal advanced the theory of the cycloid. In addition to his work in geometry and calculus, he founded probability theory, and made contributions to axiomatic theory. His name is associated with the Pascal’s Triangle of combinatorics and Pascal’s Wager in theology. Like most of the greatest mathematicians, Pascal was interested in physics and mechanics, studying fluids, explaining vacuum, and inventing the syringe and hydraulic press. At the age of eighteen he designed and built the world’s first automatic adding machine. (Although he continued to refine this invention, it was never a commercial success.) He suffered poor health throughout his life, abandoned mathematics for religion at about age 23, wrote the philosophical treatise Pensà ©es (â€Å"We arrive at truth, not by reason only, but also by the heart†), and died at an early age. Many think that had he devoted more years to mathematics, Pascal would have been one of the greatest mathematicians ever.
